Counseling, Coaching, Whole Living
Kevin George, II
MS, LCMHC, NCC, EMDR-C
I honor your courage to have found your way here. My name is Kevin (he/him/his). I work as a counselor/therapist out of Brevard, NC and provide individual therapy and coaching sessions for adult clients.
It takes immense courage to decide to go inward and lean into our most difficult parts, experiences, thoughts, and emotions. Working to move through these struggles is what allows us to heal and dissipate experiences of depression, anxiety, stress, and unhelpful patterns that may be impacting our lives and relationships. I come from a person centered lens and use mindfulness techniques to provide a space where I hope clients feel heard, seen, and become more aware of what may be keeping them stuck. My style is client led, empathic, compassionate, and kind.
I practice what I hope for in my clients, and make my own journey toward growth and healing, a regular part of my life. There is always something we can be working on. It is through my own work I have found meaning and awareness of my gifts in connecting with, and holding space for, another human being’s difficult parts and experiences. My own self-care includes martial arts, rock climbing, and hiking and backpacking in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I am happily married and the father of two wonderful children.
Experience
I have been counseling for over 10 years and held licenses in Indiana, Colorado, and North Carolina. My counseling specialties are in men’s work, relationships, and trauma. I working with individuals struggling with life transitions, relationships, lack of meaning and purpose in their life.
